Calli was a light in countless lives. Her passionate sense of fairness, justice and empathy for others, all expressed with a sense of humor and supported by her life experiences, made a real difference in her community, in the lives of a diverse group of people with at least one thing in common -- the love of and love for Calli. She helped change the way people look at the world. She fought for human dignity, but never in a vitriolic, angry way. She was confident she was on the right side of issues she cared passionately about, and that gave her a calmness and strength that is unique and powerful.
